Por esto el 3 de enero 2024, a las 19.00 horas, en Laguna Escondida de José Ignacio, una pasarela en su espectacular Club House se vestirá con los diseños de joyería de Isabel Etchebarne y las tendencias del verano a cargo de Jotti Harriague presentando el Fashion Show “Sirens By the Sea”.

Fin de Año y enero son épocas donde gran parte de los porteños deja Buenos Aires para irse de vacaciones.

Bendita sensibilidad…
Porque sin ella, la vida sería otra cosa.
La magia de Sorolla es tan potente, que a uno le conmueve lo que al mismo pintor le obsesionó: la luz.
La luz, las sombras…pero sobre todo la luz…
Sus pinturas fueron su vida, lo que vivía diariamente y lo que lo colmó hasta el último día de su vida en las costas de Levante: los trabajadores de la pesca, las velas infladas al sol, los niños jugando y chapoteando como solo él los pudo pintar.
Si bien lo conocí en París y Buenos Aires, en España, su tierra natal lo terminé de amar.
Es el maestro de maestros de la luz, sus escenas de playa, cómo en “La vuelta de la pesca”, (1898) lo hicieron famoso en París pero ya tenía su lugar de prestigio en el arte español.
Ahora es toda una sorpresa toparme en la entrada del Bellas Artes de BA con su genio y su pintura costumbrista que capta con gran vigor, la vida misma y su gente.
Un placer inmenso para mis ojos.

Blessed sensitivity…

Este fin de semana de octubre desde Buenos Aires nos hicimos una escapada en BUQUEBUS a José Ignacio y aprovechamos para cenar en LA HUELLA y ver las noctilucas en la Playa Brava, además de un cielo espectacularmente estrellado.

Mar, naturaleza y estrellas en un entorno mágico para esta época del año antes de la movida del verano.

This October weekend from Buenos Aires we took a BUQUEBUS getaway to José Ignacio and took the opportunity to have dinner at LA HUELLA and see the noctilucas on Playa Brava, as well as a spectacularly starry sky.

Sea, nature and stars in a magical environment for this time of year before the summer rush.

Si hay alguien que tiene nombre, carisma y un enorme lugar bien ganado en la moda argentina es el modisto Laurencio Adot a quien conocimos y admiramos por su trayectoria, y que anoche, junto a su equipazo logró demostrar en su mega desfile que sigue vigente como nunca.
La convocatoria fue en el espléndido jardín del Museo de Arte Decorativo, donde más de cuarenta modelos en escena mostraron la exclusiva colección en una noche llena de glam.

Nuevas tendencias para la temporada que se viene, con colores y pedrería, brillaron bajo los flashes; así como lo hicieron las famosas convocadas: Graciela Alfano, Carina Mazzoco, Flor de la V, Iliana Calabró, (que no paró de filmar cada pasada) entre muchas otras.

Al final pudimos presenciar un revival de los años dorados de las grandes modelos top de los 90’, cuando los modistos bajaron la escalera central del jardín hacia la pasarela, llevando del brazo a las queridas modelos Nequi Galiotti y Evelyn Shield que mostraron la atemporalidad de la moda de este genio que no para de crear en su casa de Posadas y Montevideo, en la Recoleta.
Una noche mágica que dará que hablar.

Hoy, mientras tomaba un café esperando subir al Francisco en la Terminal de BUQUEBUS, un señor a mi lado miraba todo desde debajo de un gorro que ocultaba su cara.
A veces la buena fortuna te toca y el señor debajo del sombrero me miró y yo lo reconocí: el Negro Rada.
“El Oooso Rubenrá”…le dije, arrastrando la “o” como quien presenta al creador del personaje para niños que interpretó y que quedó en mi mente desde las épocas en que mis chicos lo escuchaban.
Con gran simpatía se reconoció en esas palabras y ahí, la gente se acercó para la selfie que nunca debe faltar, tratándose de un ícono del candombe y de ritmos que hizo suyos a través de su trayectoria en las dos orillas y Estados Unidos, donde produjo jazz-fusión candombe.
Charlamos un rato de todo; sus inicios, los Shakers, su amistad con Alejandro Lerner a quien reconoce como un buen cantante pero mejor compositor, de sus tres hijos argentinos que ama, y su próxima presentación por primera vez con show propio, el 3 de diciembre en el LUNA PARK, porque cómo contó, siempre compartió cartel con otros músicos en ese estadio, pero nunca solo.
Todo un desafío tratándose de un gran estadio.
La parte más linda de este encuentro fue cuando le pregunté sobre canciones en inglés fruto de sus grabaciones en la Gran Manzana, trayendo al ruedo a “Flowers in the Night”, y como la conozco y me encanta, terminamos tarareándola juntos; el con su magia, yo con mi poca voz pero mi gran admiración por un talento nuestro.
Un grande con humildad.

Today, while I was having a coffee waiting to board the Francisco at the BUQUEBUS Terminal, a man next to me was watching everything from under a hat that hid his face.

Sometimes good fortune touches you and the man under the hat looked at me and I recognized him: Negro Rada. “El Oooso Rubenrá”… (The Bear Rubenrá)

I told him, dragging the “o” as if introducing the creator of the children’s character that he played and that remained in my mind from the times when my boys listened to him.

With great sympathy he recognized himself in those words and there, people came together for the selfie that should never be missed, being an icon of candombe and of rhythms that he made his own through his career on both shores and the United States, where he produced candombe jazz-fusion.

We chatted for a while about everything; his beginnings, the Shakers, his friendship with Alejandro Lerner whom he recognizes as a good singer but a better composer, his three Argentine children that he loves, and his next presentation for the first time with his own show, on December 3 at LUNA PARK, because as he said, he always shared the bill with other musicians in that stadium, but never alone.

Quite a challenge when it comes to a large stadium. The nicest part of this meeting was when I asked her about songs in English from her recordings in the Big Apple, bringing “Flowers in the Night” to the ring, and since I know her and I love her, we ended up humming it together.

He with his magic, me with my little voice but my great admiration for one of our talents.

A great one with humility.
