Según el relato que acompaña a esta producción fotográfica, el gran artista norteamericano, rey del arte pop Andy Warhol, que vibró en los años 70’ y 80’ y la artista Marta Minujín, ícono del arte contemporáneo argentino, estos se divierten saldando una cuenta simbólica.
La amistad de los dos artistas es bien conocida y se cimentó en la búsqueda de nuevos conceptos artísticos de vanguardia cuando Minujín comenzó a exponer en las salas neoyorquinas y Andy atraía a nuevos talentos, como el artista grafitero Jean Michael Basquiat.
La artista contó que entre risas se subieron a dos sillas y ella hizo una pila de choclos de la que tomaba algunos y se los entregaba a Andy, como un pago simbólico de una deuda externa ficticia.
En total fueron diez fotos maravillosas.
Esa sería la última vez que la artista vería a su amigo que murió dos años después.

According to the story that accompanies this photographic production, the great North American artist, king of pop art Andy Warhol, who vibrated in the 70’s and 80’s, and the artist Marta Minujín, an icon of Argentine contemporary art, have fun settling a score symbolic.

The friendship of the two artists is well known and was cemented by the search for new avant-garde artistic concepts when Minujín began to exhibit in New York theaters and Andy attracted new talent, such as the graffiti artist Jean Michael Basquiat.

The artist said that between laughs they got on two chairs and she made a pile of corn from which she took some and gave them to Andy, as a symbolic payment of a fictitious foreign debt. In total there were ten wonderful photos.

That would be the last time the artist would see her friend who died two years later.
