En San Telmo, sobre la calle Humberto I a pasos de la Plaza, se encuentra el Museo Penitenciario Argentino Antonio Ballvé, un lugar interesante para ver la historia del edificio que originalmente formó parte de la iglesia hasta que fue, progresivamente integrado al sistema penitenciario.

Imágenes, instrumentos, vestimenta y la historia del sistema carcelario con personajes que fueron leyenda en las noticias policiales, como el “petiso orejudo” hasta el encarcelamiento de las mujeres que integraron el parlamento en representación del peronismo en los años 50.

Antes de sumergirse en la Feria de San Telmo es una buena oportunidad de conocer este museo y conocer la otra cara de Buenos Aires.

In San Telmo, on Humberto I street, a few steps from the Plaza, is the Antonio Ballvé Argentine Penitentiary Museum, an interesting place to see the history of the building that originally formed part of the church until it was progressively integrated into the penitentiary system.
